Tamiko, Prior Lake

"I purchased this as a gift for my nephew. It was beautifully packaged and shipped nicely. This gift was perfect for him because he was able to easily manipulate the pieces and create a one of a kind item all while learning.  His mom says he has gone back to these kits again and again.  So much learning for such a great value!"

Kali, Maple Plain

"The play-doh circuit kit is exceedingly high quality, with plenty of material for multiple kids. Kit included a comprehensive description of circuit types while keeping the attention and excitement of my child. We will build circuits to light up the lights - and our minds - again and again! Thanks Simple STEM kids!  Really looking forward to next month's box!"

Jaimie, Orono

Would give more than 5 stars if I could. These kits are a great quality purchase! It was exactly as pictured and described, and exceeded expectations. My kids loved this- and so did I as the supervising adult. The written directions were easy to follow, but the QR coded video was what set this product apart from other STEM purchases. Highly recommend."

Light-Up Circuit Cards

Light-up your life with Light-Up Circuit Cards!  This kit empowers young STEMers to learn the basics of circuits, then build on their learning as they design, prototype and engineer their very own light-up, pop-up cards!

Create cards for birthdays, holidays, friends, loved ones, family members!

This kit is designed for 100 hands-on hours where beginners find quick success and get excited about the process of learning.

Yellow Slime

SLIME!

What is STEM without slime?  Making slime isn’t only just fun, it’s science! Ask questions as each different type of slime is created.  Get excited to SLIME with this kit and make the best slime ever!

Building Robot Vehicle

Inventor's Kit

The world's best inventions were often made by accident!  So, if you could invent anything, what would it be?  If your creations do not come out as planned, do not give up! You never know what you will discover with a little bit of experimentation, imagination and STEM!

DC Motor Racer

Inspire young engineers to design and build their own race car by assembling a DC motor circuit, base, propeller, wheels, axles and more. Install two AA batteries (included) to power your design and watch it zoom away! Then learn about thrust, lift drag, weight and Newton's Third Law of Motion. Use your learning to modify your design and make your race car even faster! Endless design options!

STEM (Gummy) Worms

This kit will have kids jumping up and down with excitement as they make their own gummy worms, then use them to investigate not only the regions and types of taste but also Osmosis and Diffusion!

This kit teaches about tastebuds, regions of basic taste, Osmosis and Diffusion through the following investigations: How do you taste?
Are different parts of the tongue more sensitive to different basic tastes?  What will happen to a gummy worm in water? Will it dissolve? Will it shrink or grow? Will it fall apart? How long will it take?  Extension for older STEMers:  What will happen to a gummy worm in salt or sugar water?

Blue Hummingbird

Backyard Birding

Create a connection with the natural world and the secrets that it shares. Backyard bird watching empowers children to search for answers to the questions that matter most to them and take charge of their education.  Make breakfast for the birds, then observe their beauty as you learn calls, characteristics and so much more!

Chemistry Class

Chemist's Kit

Chemistry is one of the most exciting types of experimental science, especially when framed as  magic tricks. Color changes, magically appearing snow, invisible ink and more will build your child’s understanding of chemistry.

Solar Art Printing

Use this complete kit and the power of sunshine to develop your one-of-a-kind art prints and fix them in water!  Instant gratification STEM art!

Easy to follow printed instructions.  Also includes a brief science section and QR coded teaching tutorial.

Experiment exposing at different lengths of times to gain various depths of blue. Prints, once created are archival and can last over 100 years.

Gardening Together

Green Thumb

Summer in Minnesota means green things grow!  Explore Botany by creating your own window greenhouse and mini garden.  With these easy plant activities, all kids can explore, investigate, plant seeds and grow a garden with their green thumbs!

DIY Block Puzzles

Create your own Instant Insanity Puzzle, Chess Cubes and Set of Pentablocks.  Stack the four Insanity Cubes into a tower so that each color appears only once on each of the four sides.  Arrange the Chess Cubes so when it is flipped 180 degrees the other three sides are visible, the pattern is the same.   Place your Pentablocks in such a way that none of them can move within the tray.  Sounds easy?  Try it.

Graffiti Bot

What if you could build a robot that creates its own art?  The Graffiti Bot uses a small electric motor to move. In order to power the motor, the robot also needs a battery. When you connect the battery to the motor, you complete an electrical circuit, and this allows the motor to spin. The motor has an off-center weight attached to it  which causes the motor to vibrate. When the motor vibrates, it causes the robot to wobble across the paper. Tinker, design, create, ART!
